The Seven Liberal Arts are tools to help our students think well.
In a classical education, four liberal arts are emphasized throughout the child’s day: arithmetic, music, astronomy, and geometry.
The other three liberal arts, also known as the Trivium, are divided into years. The Grammar years (kindergarten through 5th grade) focus on memorization. The Logic years (6th through 8th grade) process the information and analyze it. The Rhetoric years (9th-12th grade) emphasize speech, debate, and communication of knowledge.
